Service to your Community
Being a member of a Rotary club gives you the opportunity to give back to your community. Through the different avenues of service that each member brings to the club. The Mooroopna Club provides a number of ways to become active in the local and international communities. Whether its raising funds for our community through a number of projects or supporting an international aid project the opportunities are varied and rewarding.
Networking
Through our regular meetings as a member you are given the opportunity to mix with others from a diverse range of professions. There is also opportunity to travel and meet other Rotarians from around the world.
International Understanding
Rotary is an organisation of over a Million members from 188 countries and make up 28,000 clubs. All focusing on making the world a better place for all human beings. Every Rotarian wears a ‘Rotary International’ pin and is welcome to attend meetings at any club both locally and internationally. There are few places on the globe that do not have a Rotary Club. Being a Rotarian affords the opportunity to make friends at home and all over the world.
Development and Leadership
Rotary is an organisation comprising leaders and successful people, experienced in team building, fundraising, public speaking, planning, organization, and communication. Being a Rotary leader provides further experience in learning how to motivate, inspire and guide others.
Friendship/Fellowship
One of the major benefits of membership in a Rotary club is the freindships and fellowship share with the other members both in your club and joining and sharing with other clubs. Many lasting friendship can be made and in particular while traveling under the Rotary banner.
