Kenyan Fish Farming Project

Releasing fish fingerlings into a new pond in Kenya

Releasing fish fingerlings into a new pond in Kenya

This project was started in 2012 and is finally in the last stages of completion. The self sustaining fish farming project is in Western Kenya near Usigu, which close to the Ugandan border.

The plan underwent rigorous due diligence checking, trips by Pete Kelton and Gino Gugliotti to assess the need and viability and then finally attract investment which we did largely by way of an Australian Government East African grant.

With much discussion between our on ground partners ICAD, which has Gideon Ochnada who is the minister for the constituency of Bondo as its head and Leakey Abouro a past Rotary Member of the Mooroopna Rotary Club, we have finally progressed to the final phase in phase three.
